I was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica. I remember travelling around the country with my family since I was a little kid. We were outdoors most of the weekends exploring the country. Costa Rica is very diverse country when it comes to tourism. You can find very nice beaches, amazing volcanos and great hikes, just a few hours away from the city. For me, this was just the perfect scenario to start getting passionate about travel.
In 2013, I got a scholarship that brought me to the USA for a year. During that time, I was living with around 50 people from all over the world. I met people from Ghana, India, Egypt, Turkey, and Brazil, just to name a few. During this time, I learned that cultures are incredible; the world is a fascinating place and meant to be known and explored. It was around the same time that I met my husband, an Indian guy who loves to travel and has been the best thing that could have happened to me. Together we have traveled various places and known many different cultures.
Before moving to the USA, I finished my bachelors in Ecotourism which took me all over my country. Once I did a four days hike in the mountains and slept in an open tent. As part of my curriculum, I also happened to do voluntary work in a Turtle Hatchery. Things got so much fun when we also had to do activities like snorkeling and white river rafting. After all, who wouldn’t like studies mixed with fun and adventure. All this has turned a city girl in to someone who doesn’t like big cities anymore and would love to spend most of her time surrounded by nature.
My love for travel and cultures took me to countries in the Far East like India; Holland and Greece in Europe; Mexico, Colombia, Bahamas, Dominican Republic etc. One thing I have learned over the years is that if we really want to educate ourselves in general, the best way to do so is by travelling around the globe and understanding various different cultures and beliefs.

Some hotels will let you use their facilities (gym, spa, pool, beach, etc.) for a reduced day pass. This can be great for layovers!
