The excursion begins from the pier located at “Bajo de las Sombras” bay (approximately 6 kilometers before the glacier viewpoint), where you will embark to cross Brazo Rico, reaching the southwest shore after a 20-minute boat navigation in which you will appreciate the southern wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier. After disembarking, you will reach the shelter where the guides organize the minitrekking groups. You will walk approximately 20 minutes along the lake shore to the edge of the glacier. At this point the guides will assist you with the crampons and give you instructions for the moderate 2-hour hike over the ice. At the end of the hike, you will return to the shelter walking through the exuberant Magellan forest. Return by boat across the lake.
