The main house or most important building in a estate is known as the “sala”. The sala at El Bordo de las Lanzas has kept its thick walls, sturdy beautiful ironwork and colonial doors leading to tropical but refreshing verandas. It is one of the best examples of colonial architecture in Salta.
In its rooms guests can find an important collection of furniture, wood carvings and religious paintings of the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as archaeological remains found in the nearby grounds, valuable books and centenarian documents.
On the grounds surrounding the “sala”, Graciela Arias devoted herself to design a park where local and exotic subtropical plants grow in harmony.
