The 42-room hotel is the first of its kind in the city's "El Centro" neighborhood: a seamless fusion of the city's past and its future, offering historic beauty together with deluxe accommodations, a gourmet restaurant, and a pitch-perfect location at the foot of the Cerro Santa Lucia hilltop park.
Hotel Magnolia was originally built as a family home for Doña Ana Zegers García Huidobro, the daughter of the Chilean politician Julio Zegers Samaniego, by the then-famous architect Eduardo Costabal Zegers.
In a coincidental turn, architect Zegers was offered the project without having first realized the distant family connections of the original owners.
“It was a very special experience working on a project whose original design was created by one of my ancestors,” says Zegers.
The terrace is located on the top floor of the Hotel, with a privileged view to the city’s downtown and the Santa Lucía hill. Guests can enjoy in the terrace, our signature cocktails, a broad wine selection and the best that our cuisine can offer.
The Magnolia Kitchen presents a weekly changing menu using seasonal and fresh ingredients. Our Chef delights guests with his modern takes on Chilean cuisine and the creative use of Chilean ingredients, which will awaken your palate and your senses.
Guest rooms are individually sized but are categorized as superior and junior suites, and all are defined by clean lines and neutral tones, light-colored wood surfaces and soft-lighting, as a cozy refuge of calm and restfulness.
Superior Rooms
Located on all floors including the antique part of the hotel on the 2nd and 3rd floors, many of our Superior Rooms are seamless fusions of the historic with modern Chile. Each room measures between 26 and 35 square meters, and comes with a king bed or two twins
Junior Suites
The Junior Suites are located on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors, and come with an additional seating area; some rooms boast exterior balconies with views. Junior Suites measure 45 square meters, and are perfect for those guests who require a bit of additional space.
