The house where Casa del Arzobispado is located is a reflection of the beautiful and historic Cartagena. In the seventeenth century, Jose de Ayos, one of the heroes of the independence of the city, was given the task of building the magnificent house.

A couple of centuries later, at the end of the 19th century, the house became the property of the Mainero family, becoming a trade center of the republican era. The centuries and their various uses have only added charm to the house. In 2002, Del Sol group decided to restore the house and preserve its memory for its new visitors, the guests of the Hotel Boutique Casa del Arzobispado.
