The original colonial house is two hundred years old, and has been preserved as much as possible. A crew of artisans from Armenia, central Colombia came to craft the surrounding villas using bamboo and natural materials.
A suspension bridge connects the Villas to the restaurant and allows guests to avoid a longer walk on the stone path (although we suggest you walk the path and visit the Indian stone idol set in a giant rock).
Villa Maria Tayrona is Kali's pride, and they put their hearts into the project. Everything was incredibly complicated to organize, but they now offer something truly unique to guests. The Kali Hotels staff will work hard to make your stay an unforgettable experience.
Villa Maria Tayrona is located just outside the Tayrona National Park. The beach and trails boast the same quality as the beaches and trails in the park – without the crowds. If the morning is clear, you can see the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta from most huts in Villa Maria Tayrona.
A visit to the Kogi Indians village of Orinoco, the waterfall of Quebrada Valencia, tubing and trekking along Rio Don Diego are just a few of the featured activities. You can take the free shuttle from the hotel, a local bus or even walk to the main entrance of the Tayrona National Park.
