From Guatemala City Airport you will transfer to Antigua for three nights. Tours and excursions from this colonial city include a walking city tour, coffee plantation visits, mountain biking or hiking the many outlying valleys, climbing Pacaya Volcano. Next you will travel to beautiful Lake Atitlan with a stop at the Chichicastenango Market en route. Spend several days at a lakeshore lodge with optional daily activities such as kayaking, cycling, climbing Cerro de Oro, visits to the surrounding villages, shopping at the Solala Market, zipline canopy tour. Return to Guatemala City for a flight to Flores. From a Lake Peten Itza hotel or a Tikal lodge you will explore one or more of the Mayan ruin sites such as Tikal, Yaxha, Topoxte.

Arrive Guatemala City. After clearing Customs and Immigration, you will be met by your local driver and guide and drive about 45 minutes to Antigua. Overnight Antigua hotel, breakfast included.
You will be met at your hotel by your private guide to begin your half day walking tour of Antigua. Your tour will cover the architectural & historical highlights of this colonial city with a behind-the-scenes look at some of the many ruined churches, convents, and cathedrals. Entrances are included to the Iglesia San Francisco, the Cathedral, Central Park, and La Merced Church.
This tour is flexible and if you have specific sites that you wish to see please notify your guide. If you wish to visit other monuments you will need to pay the entrances directly. At the end of the tour your guide can accompany you back to your hotel or take you to a place of your choosing.

Chichicastenango Market and transfer to Lake Atitlan This morning you will depart with your private driver and guide for the 2.5 hour transfer to the highland town of Chichicastenango. Along the way you will pass through the central highland region and see the local Maya people in their traditional dress going about their daily lives - working in the fields, collecting firewood, traveling between markets, selling their wares.
Upon arrival at Chichicastenango your guide will take you to explore this famous market both the local areas of the fruit & vegetables & everyday items as well as the craft area where you can find endless variety of beautiful textile, wooden & ceramic crafts. Guests can also visit the famous St Tomas Church where local Maya people come to perform Maya rituals within the Catholic church - demonstrating the interesting way the two faiths have combined in recent times.
You may also hike up the hill to the Pascaul Abaj ritual site to see if any local shaman are performing rituals and/or to the cemetery on the outskirts of town.
Afterward, you will transfer to your Lake Atitlan hotel.

You will be met at your hotel and set off with your private boat driver and guide, and enjoy a short transfer to the Cerro de Oro area, where you will disembark and start the adventure in the village of Cerro de Oro. Here start your hike passing through this charming local village. A 1 hour climb brings you to the top and will offer spectacular views over the area. After a short walk down a ride in a local truck brings you back to Santiago, where you will enjoy lunch and a visit of this interesting Maya village.

Transfer Lake Atitlan To Guatemala City
You will be picked up at your hotel by your private driver and set off on a 2-3 hour drive to the Guatemala City Airport for your flight to Flores. Airport reception and transfer to your Flores/Lake Peten Itza/Tikal hotel.

You will be picked up at your hotel and transfer to Yaxha National Park where you set off by boat over to the small island site at Topoxte for a tour of this interesting site which it is believed was the last inhabited site of the Maya in what is now Guatemala. The boat then returns to the main site at Yaxha where they can enjoy a private guided tour of this lesser visited, atmospheric site. You can enjoy the sights and sounds of the howler and spider monkeys as well as many colorful tropical birds and other mammals in this area which is rich with wildlife. Lunch is provided.
You will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to Tikal National Park for a privately guided tour.
Tikal is the grandest of all Mayan Ruins, and the stunning beauty of this tropical paradise will leave you breathless. Along with your private guide you will tour the ruins. Lunch at a local restaurant is included.
