  • Day 1 : Rabat

Begin your trip by traveling to the Kingdom’s capital: Rabat. Arrive in the afternoon, and have a lunch overlooking the city before seeing the sites. First, take a stroll around the Chellah, the medieval fortified Muslim necropolis. What is so interesting about this particular site is the presence of the Phoenician,  Roman, and Muslim historical ruins all present on the same compound, built one on top of the previous. After Chellah, visit the Yacoub al-Mansour esplanade, which contains both the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, an architectural masterpiece, and the Hassan Tower. Have a relaxing dinner at your riad.

    Day 2 : Fes

Following a stroll around the Kasbah Oudayas, drive to the Roman ruins at Volubilis. History buffs will love visiting this city, a UNESCO Heritage Site, which is commonly considered to have been the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Mauretania. After exploring Volubilis, travel to the nearby Meknes, one of Morocco’s Imperial Cities. Have lunch in the Meknes medina before visiting the centuries-old medieval doors giving fame to the modern Meknes. Continue on to Fes, relax with hammam and spa treatments, then have a Gourmet Moroccan dinner at your Riad.

    Day 3 : Fes

Today, see the sights of Morocco’s cultural capital. Spend the morning touring the Royal Palace, the medersa, and strolling through the old Jewish Quarter. After lunch, learn about Moroccan traditional crafts by visiting the city’s tanneries, the epicenter of Moroccan leather goods, and the artisan quarters. After this introduction into traditional Moroccan arts and crafts, spend the remainder of the afternoon exploring the souk. In the evening, for the foodies of the group, embark on a Tasting Tour of Fes, which consists of a local culinary expert guiding the group through the souk to sample some of Morocco’s favorite tasty treats.

    Day 4 : Sahara

Get an early start on your journey into the Sahara Desert. Enjoy the scenic drive, and have lunch in the Ziz Valley taking in the majesty of your natural surroundings. Arrive into the Sahara in the afternoon, and embark on the quintessential sunset camel ride into your luxury desert camp. Settle into your Berber tent, then enjoy a delicious tagine dinner with a musical performance by a local tribal band. After dinner, find yourself encircling a roaring campfire. Before you go to bed, look up, and make sure not to miss the incredible starry night sky.

    Day 5 : Skoura / Dar Ahlam

The sunrise over the Sahara is unmissable. Wake early, walk the dunes, and spend some time enjoying the desert camp. Try your hand at sandboarding, or let your inner yogi zen-out with some asanas in the sand. Leave the camp in the late morning, and head for Skoura and the Dar Ahlam. Once you arrive at Dar Ahlam, check out the beautiful palm groves before settling into a relaxing lunch at one of the many outdoor areas where the hotel staff will stage a meal to remember. Your afternoon is a leisurely time by the pool to relax after your Saharan adventure, and another experience awaits you for your dinner on-site.

    Day 6 : Skoura / Dar Ahlam

Take a walk through the Valley of the Palms, and enjoy lunch on the lake or a refreshing swim in the river. Take an excursion to the Dades Gorges, the Grand Canyon of Morocco.
