You will be met at your hotel at 8:30am and transferred to the river base an put-in. Here you will meet the experienced skilled guides who will equip you will all the rafting gear needed (wetsuit, helmet, paddle and life jacket) and go through technical and safety instructions with you. The Maipo River, flowing between steep canyon gorges and cutting through the heart of the Andes mountains, is a Class-III/IV river (depending on snow melt) and therefore suitable for both novice and experienced rafters.
Raft down the river valley for approximately 16km, the view crowned by spectacular Andean scenery. Enjoy the rapids and the surroundings before arriving at the take-out at San Jose de Maipo from where you will drive back to the river base. Here you will enjoy a delicious lunch and have the opportunity to relax with panoramic mountain views.
Menu includes: appetizer (ceviche), main course (steak or chicken or sausages or pork chop with goat cheese salad, fresh tomatoes, lettuce and carrot salad and baked potato), freshly baked bread with chilean pebre and roquefort cheese, dessert (catalana cream, caramel flan, berries panacota), Pisco Sour (a traditional Chilean drink), two soft drinks or beers or glasses of wine per person, tea and coffee. Vegeterian options available upon request.
