The natural history of Brazil experience then starts in Foz de Iguaçú, home to one of the most beautiful ecological reserves of the planet and where you find one of the most spectacular views of the world, the Iguaçú Falls. You will explore the falls on both the Brazilian and Argentinean sides.

Foz Do Iguaçu Brazil

From Iguacu you will fly to Cuiaba and transfer to your Pantanal lodge. The Pantanal is the biggest marsh plain in the world and a natural habitat of rich fauna, home to 1000 bird species, 400 fish species, 300 mammalian species, 480 reptile species. Your days will be accompanied by expert naturalists as you explore the ecosystems on foot, by boat, on horseback and four-wheel-drive vehicle.

Near the falls, you can walk upon wooden foot-bridges to "Devil's Throat" where the main current falls down. The area is surrounded by deep jungle, with lots of tropical birds and a marvelous ambience. Rainbows are formed by the reflections of the countless falls and the sparkling spray of their waters.

On the way back, a stop is made in the center of Puerto Iguazú town for shopping - typical Argentinian handicraft, leather works and Indian art will all be available. The trip concludes at the "three countries corner" - from where one can see the three landmarks of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil.

"The Pantanal Wetlands was an amazing experience."

We saw so much wildlife, including capybaras, caiman, giant river otters, anancondas, and a multitude of bird species.

We spotted 9 different Jaguars, some of whom we saw more than once for a total if 15 sightings.  We saw a caiman killing an anaconda, and river otters enjoying fish for breakfast (bones and all).

Our guide, Tom, was knowledgeable, informative, and such an amiable person. The rooms were nice and food was good.

The experience, in my opinion, could not be improved upon.  There is nothing I would change.
