Your first night will be spent at a Bogota hotel, the next five nights at three different boutique coffee plantations, located outside of Bogota, near Bucaramanga in the Andes and deep in the verdant Coffee Region.

Hacienda Bambusa - Colombia Coffee Region

Excursions include a city tour of Bogota and Cafè Hopping at Bogota's best coffee shops attended by local baristas, four days of in-depth tours at five of Colombia's leading coffee plantations, guided nature walks through the cacao fields and bamboo forests surrounding the plantations.

You will learn about the entire coffee production process from harvest to cup. You will also be introduced to the complete process of cacao harvesting and production.

Day 1 : Bogota

You will be met at the Bogota Airport and transferred to your hotel. 

Overnight at a Bogota hotel, breakfast included. 

You will be on your own this evening. Restaurant recommendations will be provided for dinner. 

Day 2 : Bogota

Bogota's Historic District & The Gold Museum
Walk through the winding streets of La Candelaria accompanied by a history expert who will help you relive the fascinating stories behind the cobblestone streets, houses, plazas and cathedrals of this charming neighborhood. As you pass by government buildings and the iconic Plaza Bolivar, gain insight into Colombia’s difficult past and the recent political and economic revival.

Continue to the Gold Museum, home of the world’s largest collection of pre-Colombian gold. Alongside an expert, understand the meaning of the extraordinary pieces recovered from archaeological sites throughout Colombia and their relation to the cultures and traditions of ancient and existent indigenous tribes. 

Cafè Hopping
You will then visit three of Bogota’s top coffee shops to learn all about the history of coffee, the process of harvesting, and what makes Colombian coffee one of the best coffees in the world. At each café you will be hosted by a top barista who will teach you how to fully appreciate the fragrance, aroma, flavor, and unique characteristics of this drink. 

In the afternoon you will be driven to La Palma y El Tucan, a boutique coffee plantation outside Bogota where you will stay for 2 nights.

Day 3 : Coffee Tour

Walk around the property as your host explains the intricate process of harvesting and producing premium quality coffee. Then, let the experts guide you through a one-of-a-kind tasting session to learn about the coffee’s aroma and fragrance, how to differentiate between good and bad coffee, and how to prepare a perfectly balanced cup of coffee.      

The rest of the day is free to explore the plantation on your own.

Day 4 : Bucaramanga - Coffee Tour

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Bucaramanga. 

Meet and greet at the Bucaramanga Airport and transfer to Hacienda El Roble, where you will be spending the night.

Hacienda El Roble produces the 3rd most expensive coffee in the world due to its outstanding seed quality and organic production.  Take a tour around the hacienda and finish with an exquisite tasting of its best products.  Your afternoon is at leisure.

Day 5 : Coffee Region

Hotel pickup and transfer to the Bucaramanga Airport for your flight to Armenia.

Armenia Airport reception and transfer to Hacienda Bambusa.

San Alberto Coffee Tour
Café San Alberto has a particular taste and aroma due to the excellent geographic and climatic conditions of its producing hacienda, located in Buenavista, Province of Quindío. 

Here, the warm and cold winds of the Quindío Valley and the Central Cordillera converge. Get to know the Hacienda, its crops, processes and the signature coffee through an unforgettable sensory experience.

Overnight at Hacienda Bambusa, breakfast included - 2 nights. 

Day 6 : The Secrets of Coffee - Hacienda Bruselas and Hacienda Bambusa

Hacienda Bruselas
Visit Hacienda Bruselas, a nearby coffee farm that has opened its doors exclusively to Hacienda Bambusa's clients. Together with your English speaking guide, go on a 45-minute walk through the plantation, and learn about the cultivation  process from seed to cup. This experience is very similar to wine tasting, but without the hangover!

Hacienda Bambusa
Walk through cocoa plantations and bamboo forests with an English-speaking guide who will introduce you to the surroundings of Hacienda Bambusa. Learn about the cacao harvest process, the local fauna and flora, and get a brief introduction to birdwatching.

Day 7 : Armenia - Bogota

Transfer to the Armenia Airport for your flight to Bogota. 

Connect with your international departure or other destination in Colombia.
