After disembarking the aircraft you will be met by an airport representative that will escort you through customs into the VIP lounge where you will wait for your luggage to arrive.

Your guide and driver will meet you as you exit into the arrivals area. They will have a sign with your name clearly marked on it. You will have a vintage car and Spanish-speaking drivers at your disposal throughout your stay in Havana.

We'll also select English-speaking guides to accompany you throughout your time. The cars are from the 1950's and generally don't have seat-belts but do have air-conditioning. If preferred we will arrange for premium cars with seat belts.

Overnight Iberostar Parque Central, daily breakfast included - 5 nights.

One of the most luxurious 5-star international hotels in the city, the Parque Central has 427 rooms divided into two interconnecting buildings. Located on beautiful Central Park in the heart of Havana, its modern and somewhat lavish architectural style still conserves certain traits of the colonial buildings found in Old Havana.

It offers the most lavish views of Havana at any of its two terrace and tropical bars, with a swimming pool located on the top floor of the hotel, exclusively for hotel guests. Room categories include Standard and Junior Suite. All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with satellite TV and balcony or terrace.

Afternoon Panoramic Drive In A Vintage Convertible
Your tour can be tailored to take in the various highlights of Havana while being driving in a vintage American convertible. En route you´ll be able to take in the panoramic views from El Morro, the fortress at the mouth of Havana harbor, the Malecon, Prado, the impressive Bacardi building and Revolution Square.

The following are suggestions for this evening (not included - to be paid directly):

Cocktails at Ambos Mundos roof terrace
Where Hemingway lived for a time, this old world hotel has a beautifully located roof terrace, perfect for sunset cocktails.

Restaurant Reservation at Chef Ivan Justo
The style of the place is thoroughly Mediterranean, located on the second and third floors of a building that must be 200 years old. There is a comfortable, airy feel to the restaurant which serves Spanish influenced Cuban cuisine. The meat dishes are hearty and flavoursome and the fish sourced fresh everyday. Leave room for the gorgeous Cuatro Leches dessert!

Buena Vista Style Show at Hotel Nacional
A Cuban musical show inspired by the music of the famous Buena Vista Social Club. Step back in time at the landmark Hotel National and enjoy a quaint piece of Cuban history.

Day 2 : Havana

Cigar Factory Tour
Admire the skill with which the experts hand-roll the world-famous Montecristo and Cohiba cigars at one of Havana’s oldest factories. This is a not a private tour and clients will join groups which set off approximately every 15 minutes with a guide from the cigar factory.

The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes. Opening hours: 9:00am-1:00pm from Monday - Friday. Not open on weekends.

Colonial Havana City Tour
Walk in the footsteps of Havana´s colonial past visiting the four key squares of Old Havana, a UNESCO world heritage site. Visit Plaza de Armas, Plaza San Francisco de Asis, Plaza Vieja and Plaza de la Cathedral with our expert guide offering insightful history along the way. This is a walking tour and takes approximately 2 hours. Lunch suggestion (not included):

Restaurant Reservation at Doña Eutimia
An elaborate ambiance, a fresh and functional design and a privileged location are attributes that allow this restaurant to offer both comfort and good food. Situated in the heart of Old Havana - it's the perfect place to people watch.

Hemingway Tour
Gertrude Stein, the celebrated American writer, once said that Ernest Hemingway had a good nose for finding good places to live and eat. She wasn’t wrong at all, as Hemingway’s villa on the outskirts of Havana proves.

Located on a hill and surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and a magnificent view of the city in the distance, the house was visited by numerous renowned celebrities during the 1940s and ´50s.

Today it is exactly as Hemingway left it in 1960, with hundreds of personal belongings, large swimming pool, the Wheeler boat he used for fishing, the three-story tower with its spectacular views and much more.

Your expert guide, a retired professor of English literature at the University of Havana, will show you around and share with you interesting insights into the life of Hemingway and that period in Cuban history.

On the way back to town, your guide will bring you to see the Cojimar fishing village: a small picturesque town that inspired Hemingway to write the novel 'The Old Man and the Sea', and whose fishermen he dedicated his Nobel Prize to.

As you finish the tour you will have an opportunity to see some of the most spectacular views of the city from the El Morro fort across the harbor from Havana. This tour takes approximately 4 hours and is done in a convertible classic American car from the 1950's.

Suggestions for this evening (not included - to be paid directly):

Drinks at O'Reilly 304
A new tapas bar just off the bustling Obispo street. Its a place to be seen for Cubans and in-the-know expats and tourists. The fish tacos are great and the cocktails amazing! Take a bici taxi from Bar O'Reilly to La Guarida (15 mins through central Havana).

Restaurant reservation at La Guarida
Enrique and Odeisys Nuñez first opened what has become Cuba’s most celebrated paladar on July 14, 1996. Anyone who has been to La Guarida will find it difficult to disagree that Enrique and Odeisys have managed to create their own magical place.

Day 3 : Havana

Morning and afternoon at leisure.

We suggest a relaxing morning at Playas del Este beach. On the return to Havana you can visit the Museo de Guanabacoa. Optional and to be paid directly.

Dinner suggestion (not included - to be paid directly):

Restaurant Reservation at El Cocinero
Great private restaurant located in parts of an old industrial factory. Reservations are recommended as the place is often fully booked. A slightly different menu on the rooftop bar to the restaurant downstairs.

For Cuban standards, the food is excellent, especially in the downstairs restaurant. Very nicely designed space, both inside and outside. All in all probably one of the best restaurant experiences you can find in Havana

Cigar Somellier pairing cigar and rum tasting (included)
Our cigar expert will join you for a pre-paid Rum and cigar tasting at the restaurant. The tour will be 1.5 hours and he or she will pair your cigar with a good rum and explain how cigars are made and smoked. Includes one aged rum and one cigar.

Music at Fabrica del Arte (suggested - to be paid directly)
A meeting place where the best of the island's avant-garde arts can be enjoyed with all the artistic manifestations under the same roof and with prices making it accessible to the majority of Cubans, this is a place where everyone is an artist.

Day 4 : Viñales Valley and Raices Del Valle

You will be met at your hotel and transferred to Viñales in a premium car. Your local guide will welcome you at the main square of Viñales town, where you will get general information about its origin and the most outstanding buildings.

Then you will leave behind the busy town for the quietness of a viewpoint 250 meters above the town in the cradle of the “Casa Taller Raices” project where you’ll learn about the genius of a farmer through his art while enjoying a delicious cocktail.

Afterwards you’ll hike along the Viñales valley, a Cultural Heritage Site, and amaze yourself with the unique landscapes, flora, fauna and the farmer’s culture of working the fields, emphasizing tobacco, from the seeds to the cigar! Along the trail you’ll also enjoy a delicious traditional meal.

Note: you will be able to decide the distance and level of difficulty of the hike. The New Canopy Zipline Tour in Viñales is a unique adventure in Cuba. The Canopy Tour is a nearly 2km aerial tour using steel cables to whiz above Viñales’ fascinating scenery.

Lunch in Viñales at a campesino's house (included) in a traditional house overlooking the picturesque valley. Lunch is traditional Cuban fare with rice, beans, fresh vegetables and salad. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

Visit Santo Thomas Cave
You will have the opportunity of visiting Cuba’s largest cave system and the second-largest on the American continent. There are over 46km of galleries on eight levels. There’s no artificial lighting, but headlamps are provided for the 90-minute guided tour.

Highlights include bats, stalagmites and stalactites, underground pools, interesting rock formations and a replica of an ancient native Indian mural. Return to Havana.

Suggestions for this evening (not included - to be paid directly):

Restaurant Reservation at Rio Mar (Suggestion - To be paid locally)
Stunning waterside views, sleek modern interiors reminiscent of Miami, this is a great place for lunch.

Tropicana Cabaret
Opened in 1931 the Tropicana is a Vegas-style extravaganza with seating for 1,400 people and 10 performers going through the full range of popular Cuban dance.

As you'd expect the dancers are beautiful and the costumes, choreography and routines are excellent, but the food is poor, the show lasts forever and it is seething with tourists. A recent revamp seems to have changed everything and nothing - with the basic formula remaining as it has been for years.

Day 5 : Havana

Havana Art Tour / Museo De Bellas Artes
You will visit two Cuban artists in their studios. Get behind the façade and interact with this thriving community depending on your particular interest. Photography, sculpture or painting. Specify whether you would like to see well-known or up-and-coming artists.

Afterward you will visit the Museo de Bellas Artes.

Lunch suggestion (not included): Restaurant reservation at Santy (Sushi) Hidden away amongst fishing shacks you'll discover Santy. A Fish and sushi based menu (pasta options offered) caught fresh by the family of fishermen who own the restaurant.

Ritmos De La Rumba - Rumba Lessons
This tour begins with a theoretical and practical lesson delivered by a dancer, professor and leader of a Rumba Dance project, with more than 20 years of being related to this Cuban rhythm and holding and keeping alive the heritage of one of the most emblematic Cuban Rumba projects, Yoruba Andabo.

The lesson takes place in a family home - an apartment and part of a typical multi-family building in Habana Vieja. From there the tour moves into a special venue at Centro Habana, the Callejon de Hamel, where a social-community project is developed, highly related to the Cuban culture.

There, you will have the chance to interact with locals and experience a very spontaneous fest with Afro-Cuban rhythms and the Rumba played by Cuban women (bataleras). For refreshments, you can enjoy an El Negron, the house cocktail.

Salsa Matinee With Local Dancers
The very best way to experience salsa is in a club full of locals. And to do that it's best hitting the club for the matinee - an early evening performance by a popular salsa band and its all wrapped up by 9pm. We'll arrange for salsa dancers to accompany you so you'll have professionals to show you how to strut your stuff.

Suggestions for this evening (not included - to be paid directly): Restaurant Reservation at Le Chansonnier.

Housed in an opulent mansion in Leafy Vedado and run by Hector who trained in its sister restaurant in Paris. The chef is embracing the new Cuban Gastro Revolution with hard to get ingredients and impeccable service. Try the aubergine Caviar. Visit La Zorra y el Cuervo club to listen latin jazz
