Along the glacialriver of Thjorsa we drive to the Viking farm Stöng, which was evacuated after the eruption of Hekla in 1104 but rebuilt in 1939. From there we drive through the wild nature and pass small rivers on our way to the liparit mountains in Landmannalaugar. There we have the opportunity to walk around for a while and even take a bath in the warm natural pool. On our way back to the hotel we pass the spectacular volcano Hekla.
Behind the glaciers Myrdalsjokull and Eyjafjallajokull there is a hidden valley, a paradise, called Thorsmork (the valley of Thor) and we will visit this wonderful place.
Along the south coast we will also see and visit the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss. By Skógafoss we will also visit a museum that shows us the way of life in the former days.
As we pass the glacier Myrdalsjokull we arrive in the little village of Vík.

From the village of Hofn we drive up to the east fjords where the landscape is exceptional with the beautiful mountains stetching out to sea. The landscape here is 16-20 million years old. We drive through small fishing villages up to the village of Egilsstadir.
From Egilsstadir we take the highland road Mödrudalur to the lake Myvatn in the north. The sights in this area are unique: the birdlife, the flora and the lava formations make Myvatn a paradise for nature lovers.
The geothermal area of Namaskard, where the nature is boiling with hot water and mud, the colors of the ground and mountains is spectacular. We also pass the waterfall of gods: Godafoss.
