Two day and one night on the Andean Express Train
Puno to Cuzco
Wednesday to Thursday
Depart from Puno station, cross through deep valleys and high mountains where camelids graze in the wide open plains of the Altiplano. Stop in La Raya, the highest point on the Cusco-Puno route at 4,335 meters above sea level, the perfect place to see the beautiful snow-capped Andes and the many llamas and vicunas roaming.
Dine on board before retiring to your sumptuous cabin where the passing scenery will lull you to sleep most likely before arriving into Cusipata station. Breakfast is early before arriving into Cuzco station. You may wish to arrange your visit to Lake Titicaca or extend your trip to Arequipa or Colca Canyon.
Only 2 Deluxe double cabins, 6 Junior double cabins, 11 twin bed cabins, 5 bunk bed cabins accommodate a maximum of 48 passengers. Two Dining Cars utilize locally sourced food from the Peruvian Andes skillfully designed by the chefs from the Belmond Monasterio in Cuzco. Unwind and meet new friends in the Observation Car while sipping a Pisco Sour.
The Open Deck provides fresh Andean air and a view of the ever-changing landscape. Comfortable seating and another bar in the Lounge car will be another place to relax, unwind and enjoy the views. There is even a spa car to indulge yourself in pampering.
