Upon arrival in Lima, you will be escorted to the Wyndam Costa Del Sol Airport Hotel, located adjacent to the terminal.
After your flight to Cusco, you will be met at the airport and driven to Urubamba, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas where you will be dropped off at your hotel with time to explore the surrounding area.

Transfer to Huambutio for a full day of rafting down the Urubamba River.
After a 30-minute orientation, you will put in the Urubamba river where you will experience amazing views and thrilling but manageable class 2 and 3 rapids.
A picnic lunch is included.
From the Sacred Valley you will be picked up by your guide and set off for your first-class trek to Machu Picchu along the legendary Inca Trail. Your private, bilingual and highly experienced guide will lead you to Machu Picchu. The trek will be fully-supported with porters and camp cook. Your guides will also be there to point out the beautiful intricacies of the Peruvian Andes, while giving you the cultural and historical context needed to fully immerse yourself in the wonder of the Inca Trail.
Early departure from your hotel by bus to Chilca in the Sacred Valley, where the trek begins. Following the left bank of the Urubamba River, you arrive at Llactapata, the first archaeological remains along the Inca trail, at 2,303 m. (7,550 ft.). Your staff will set up camp. Dinner at camp
Breakfast at camp. Hike to the village of Huayllabamba. The trail winds steeply, cutting through dense vegetation, reaching a meadow. Camp at Llulluchapampa before the first pass. Breathtaking views of Mount Huayanay. Dinner and overnight at camp.
Breakfast at camp. After a 2-hour hike, reach Warmiwañuska pass, the highest point of the journey at 4,050 m. (13,276 ft.). Descend the trail to Pacaymayo River and then the trail climbs to the second pass at Runkuraqay from where the Vilcabamba and Urubamba mountains are visible. Next, hike along a paved Inca road to the ruins of Runkuracay and Sayacmarca. Walk down a stone staircase to Phuyupatamarca ruins. Dinner and overnight at camp.
Breakfast at camp. The trail descends down a vertiginous slope along a remarkable set of stone Inca steps for approximately 3 hours to the ruins of Wiñaywayna, a beautiful Inca site in the middle of a dense forest. A 2-hour hike leads to Intipunku (Gate of the Sun) which overlooks the awesome Machu Picchu. Transfer by shuttle bus to the town of Aguas Calientes. Overnight at your Machu Picchu hotel. Breakfast and lunch are included today.

You'll be met at your hotel this morning by your guide and return on the 25-minute 'zig-zag' shuttle bus to Machu Picchu. Set off to explore the walls, plazas, palaces, stairways, temples, and terraces of Machu Picchu. After a buffet lunch served at the Sanctuary Lodge, you'll be free to explore this enchanting place on your own. Lunch included.
Those in good physical shape (and a strong head for heights) may wish to hike the very steep trail to the top of Huayna Picchu for outstanding views of the entire region. You may wish to explore Aguas Calientes where there are some small restaurants, a market, and some hikes. Shuttle bus tickets and entrance fee included today.
In due time, return to the Machu Picchu train station for departure. Depart on the train for the return journey to Poroy Station, just outside Cusco. You will be met at the train station in Cusco and transferred to your hotel.

After picking up the necessary equipment, you will then depart by bus to Tambomachay ruins where the biking tour starts. Downhill biking to the Templo de la Luna (Moon Temple) and Qenqo. The ride ends at Sacsayhuaman, famous for its cosmic energy. Along the way, your guide will fill you in on the historical and cultural context of the region.
Take the morning to explore Cusco on your own, then in the afternoon you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the Cusco Airport for your flight to Lima, in time for your international departure.
