8-DAY CRUISE ‘A’: CENTRAL & SOUTHERN ISLANDS

DAY 1 Saturday

am: Baltra Island: Arrival in Baltra airport and transfer to the boat. Briefing onboard about the boat and the island.

pm: Santa Cruz - Bachas Beach: A swimming beach and one of the few remnants of the U.S. World War II presence in the Galápagos.

DAY 2 Sunday

am: Bartholomew - Pinnacle Rock: Bartholomew is home of the Pinnacle Rock: the most famous view in the Galapagos Islands.

pm: Santiago - Sullivan Bay: The lava field has a variety of patterns made by the shapes and textures of trees that once existed there.

DAY 3 Monday

am: South Plaza Island: South Plaza has one of the largest populations of land iguanas in the Galápagos.

pm: Santa Fe Island: A volcanic uplift that hosts a forest of Opuntia and Palo Santo. Endemic land iguanas are often seen.

DAY 4 Tuesday

am: San Cristobal - Cerro Brujo: A beautiful white-sand beach full of pelicans, blue-footed boobies, sea lions and marine iguanas.

pm: San Cristobal - Pitt Point: Here there are endemic species such as lava lizards and red-footed boobies.

DAY 5 Wednesday

am: San Cristobal - Isla Lobos: This small island is named after the sea lions that rest and play on its rocky shores.

pm: San Cristobal - Leon Dormido: The island is comprised of two rocks which jut out of the ocean and is home to a large colony of sea birds.

DAY 6 Thursday

am: Española - Suárez Point: Suárez Point is one of the most outstanding wildlife areas of the archipelago.

pm: Española - Gardner Bay: Gardner Bay has a magnificent beach with turquoise waters. The bay is home of a large colony of sea lions. Española - Osborn Islet: This small island is a marine visit where you can enjoy fantastic snorkeling and swimming.

DAY 7 Friday

am: Floreana - Cormorant Point: Cormorant Point offers a trail overlooking a saltwater lagoon that is a favorite of flamingos. Floreana - Champion Islet: A small island located very near Floreana, snorkelling and diving around Champion can be excellent.

pm: Floreana - Post Office Bay: A white-sand beach where in the past sailors used to leave and receive their letters in a barrel. Floreana - Baroness' Observatory: This site shows a breath-taking view of La Lobería and the inland features of Floreana Island.

DAY 8 Saturday

am: Santa Cruz - Charles Darwin Station: An organization that provides scientific assistance to ensure the proper preservation of the Galápagos. Transfer to the Airport.

 

8-DAY CRUISE ‘B’: CENTRAL & WESTERN ISLANDS

DAY 1 Saturday

am: Baltra Island: Arrival to the airpor and transfer to Santa Cruz to visit the highlands before boarding. Dress appropriately for a hike.

pm: Santa Cruz - Los Gemelos: Spanish for The Twins, they are two volcanic depressions on the highest part of Santa Cruz.

DAY 2 Sunday

am: Isabela - Las Tintoreras: A short distance from Puerto Villamil is the small island known as Las Tintoreras. Isabela - Sierra Negra Volcano: On the way up you can see lush vegetation and the summit offers a spectacular view of the lowlands.

pm: Isabela - Tortoise Breeding Station: Created to protect animals in their first years of life from the threats of foreign species. Isabela - Wetlands:They consist of lagoons, swamps, and mangroves and are home to a variety of unique bird species.

DAY 3 Monday

am: Isabela - Moreno Point: Beautiful rocky shores where penguins and shore birds, including blue herons, are usually spotted.

pm: Isabela - Elizabeth Bay: As you enter the bay, hawks soar overhead and schools of fish can be seen swimming beneath the surface.

DAY 4 Tuesday

am: Fernandina - Mangle Point: A visit to Mangle Point allows visitors to witness the amazing views and wildlife on the Coast of Fernandina Island.

pm: Isabela - Urbina Bay: Its waters are a good place to see turtles and rays. Ashore you'll find a short trail leading to a coral reef.

DAY 5 Wednesday

am: Fernandina - Espinosa Point: A narrow stretch of land where hundreds of marine iguanas gather largely on black lava rocks.

pm: Isabela - Vicente Roca Point: The remnants of an ancient volcano form two turquoise coves with a bay protected from ocean swells.

DAY 6 Thursday

am: Santiago - Puerto Egas: Puerto Egas, with its black sand beaches, was the site of small salt mining industry in the 1960s.

pm: Santiago - Buccaneer Cove: Buccaneer Cove is a testament to the fact that Santiago was once a refuge for British buccaneers. Santiago - Espumilla Beach: Espumilla Beach is a popular place for marine iguanas and Sally Lightfoot Crabs.

DAY 7 Friday

am: Genovesa - Prince Phillip's Steps: An extraordinary, steep path leads through a seabird colony full of life, up to cliffs that are 25m high.

pm: Genovesa - Darwin Bay: A coral beach where a 750 mt. trail takes you through more seabird colonies.

DAY 8 Saturday

am: North Seymour Island: Explore the rocky coast, passing colonies of blue-footed boobies and magnificent frigatebirds. Transfer to the Airport.
