Within hiking distance of the western edge of Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica, this artistically rustic lodge is reminiscent of an Adirondacks camp, with creatively designed twig chairs and headboards, twisted-branch windows, and furniture made of leftover tree stumps.
Kids of all ages will like the cabin-in-the-woods atmosphere.
An ideal place to start a hike into Corcovado, the 100% locally run lodge offers accommodations to suit all budgets, from bunk-bed rooms with shared bath to spacious forest cabins, to a wheelchair-accessible master suite with a spacious, semi-alfresco bathroom, paved with smooth river stones.
Breakfast is included and traditional Costa Rican meals are served in an alfresco restaurant.
The restaurant, lodge, and open kitchen are joined by a covered breezeway with a spectacular wall-size, wooden spiderweb complete with giant spider.
Our dining room overlooks a charming creek and towering rainforest. This multi-leveled open air Ranchito has tons of character starting with a twisted branch encased bridge, one-piece Balsa chairs, upside down tree column, puzzle piece Surá tables, and cozy candlelit dinners accompanied by a symphony of toads and the rustling of kinkajous in the treetops.
All meals are prepared by locals and are authentic Costa Rican dishes, we try to be innovative with what is in season so that you will enjoy a variety of tastes, with vegetarian options.
Danta Corcovado Lodge participates in the CST (Certification of Sustainable Tourism) program which has been recognized by the World Tourism Organization as a program that is gradually improving environmental and social impacts of tourism.

Bungalows
Danta Corcovado Lodge Bungalows For those wishing for more privacy, we offer bungalows set further in the forest, 200 meters from the main lodge. There is nothing like experiencing the tropical rainforest like waking up to squirrel monkeys passing overhead, or going to bed with the sounds of pings and clicks of frogs.
House
Two separate rooms, one with a double bed and the other one with a single bed and bunk bed, kitchen, living room, corridor and private bathroom with hot water. Locate close to the main building; this house is special for students or families.

Flavorful Guatemala Food Tour
The cuisine and culinary traditions of the Ancient Mayans were diverse and extensive. The Mayans were hunters, fishers and used their own gardens to grow their food supply. Their most traditional dishes use a variety of ingredients. Their largest crop production was maize (corn). Cacao, another principle crop, was used in a sacred drink and also as an exchange unit in its grain form. The Spanish colonization brought change to the region.
Brazil – Trekking Lencois Maranhenses and Sao Luis
Composed of large, white, sweeping dunes, the place looks like an archetypal desert, lying just outside the Amazon basin, the region is subject to a regular rain season during the beginning of the year. Located in eastern Maranhão, 3-4 hours from São Luis, it is a vast expanse of sand dunes separating land and sea.
