Day 1 : Santiago de Chile

Upon arrival you will be met by one of our private, bilingual guides, who will assist with your luggage and transfer you to The Ritz Carlton Santiago.

Day 2 : Santiago de Chile – Modern City Tour with San Cristóbal Hill

You will depart with your guide from your Santiago hotel and tour the exclusive El Golf Neighborhood, home to the financial district and many modern buildings. A little further to the west you will find Providencia, an area with wide streets, lovely homes, and a “French feel” – a popular place to stay because it is walkable and features many shops and restaurants.

Continue downtown and proceed through the main avenue of the city, Alameda del Libertador General Bernardo O’Higgins, passing by the San Francisco Church, the oldest monument in the country.

You will visit and walk around Barrio Lastarria, known for its wide variety of cultural centers, museums, theaters, antique fairs, cafes, bookstores, and small specialty shops. From here, you will be taken to the neoclassical La Moneda Palace that is now the government palace, and take a walk along the “Plaza de la Constitución.”

Next, stroll around the Central Market, one of the main attractions in historical downtown, and considered one of the most interesting markets in the world.

A little further, cross the Mapocho River and head straight towards the Bellavista Neighborhood, the lively core of arts and nightlife, where pubs, cultural centers and international gastronomy can be found. From here, ascend the San Cristóbal Hill, a spur of the Andes marching into Santiago, where the famous Virgin Mary statue overlooks the city. Conclude this day with a panoramic view of the city and the majestic Andes in the background, before returning to your hotel.

Day 3 : The Wines of the Maipo Alto Valley*

Morning drive toward the Maipo Canyon up to Las Vertientes, a popular resort at the foothills of the Andes, with a view of the winding Maipo River. Continue to the Santa Rita winery located 40 kms. south of Santiago, in the Maipo Valley. The Maipo Valley is renowned as one of the finest viticultural areas in the world.

You will have your own private guide who will escort you to 3 different vineyards within the valley.

*We can arrange visits to wineries in other valleys:  Colchagua, Casablanca, San Antonio, Aconcagua.

Day 4 : Santiago de Chile – Mendoza

Hotel pickup and transfer to the airport for your flight to Mendoza. This is Argentina’s very own wine country, nestled in a gorgeous valley beneath the striking central Andes mountain range.

You will be met at the Mendoza Airport and transferred to the Cavas Wine Lodge, located 40 minutes by car from Mendoza on a 55-acre vineyard. Rooms and Villas include: Luxury Room, Corner Room, Vineyard Villa, One Bedroom Villa, Grand Villa. Facilities include restaurant and Spa.

Spa facilities and services include gym, sauna, Jacuzzi, wine therapy treatments, facials, aromatherapy. Activities include biking, walks, horseback riding, yoga.

All-inclusive package includes airport transfers, accommodations, daily breakfast at the lodge, lunches and dinners at various restaurants in the area, daily private winery visits with tastings, outdoor activities, one message per guest per day.

Winery visits may include the following:

Catena Zapata, Achaval Ferrer, Altavista, Melipal, Dominio del Plata -Susana Balbo-, Ruca Malen, Chakana, Norton, Terrazas, Séptima, Eduardo Pulenta, Carlos Pulenta Vistalba, Caelum).

Outdoor activities may include rafting, golf, cycling, horseback riding or sightseeing with transfers (if guests prefer, this can be exchanged for another day of winery visits).

Lunches can be at wineries or local restaurants – beverages not included).

For dinners guests may choose from the a la carte menu at one of the participating restaurants in the Mendoza area: Cavas Wine Lodge (at the restaurant, in the cellar or privately in the room), Francis Mallmann’s 1884 (at Bodega Escorihuela), Club Tapiz, Bistro M (at Park Hyatt Mendoza), La Bourgogne (at the Diplomatic Hotel), Nadia of Chacras de Coria.

Day 5, 6 : Mendoza

Day 7 : Mendoza – El Calafate

Transfer to the airport for your flight to El Calafate, considered to be the “gateway to Patagonia.” This small town houses huge glaciers with chance to trek them or sit back and marvel at their greatness. Airport reception and transfer to your hotel.

Overnight Esplendor El Calafate, daily breakfast included – 3 nights.

The Hotel Esplendor El Calafate is located on a hill, overlooking Argentino Lake, El Calafate town and the Andes Range. The hotel has 57 rooms, Concept and Suites. There is also a restaurant and bar serving authentic local cuisine and a wide selection of Argentinean wines, homemade cakes and pastries, as well as international cocktails and Patagonian cold cuts.

Day 8 : Perito Moreno Glacier with minitrekking

Morning departure to Los Glaciares National Park. The excursion begins in the pier located at “Bajo de las Sombras” bay , where you will embark to cross Brazo Rico, reaching the southwest shore after 20 minutes of navigation in which you will appreciate the southern wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier.

After disembarking, you will reach the shelter, where the guides organize the minitrekking groups. In this trekking over the glacier, you will appreciate lots of ice formations such as: cracks, drains, little lagoons, etc.

It is a moderate hike. The ice surface where you will walk is irregular, but firm and safe. At the end of the hike, you will go back to the shelter walking through the exuberant Magellan forest. Arrival and embark to cross the lake. Once you arrive at the pier, you will travel for 6 km to reach the catwalks, in front of the Perito Moreno glacier, from thre you will have different and amazing views of the glacier.

Day 9 : Estancia Cristina & Upsala Glacier

Hotel pickup and transfer to the port in Puerto Bandera where you will board a comfortable modern catamaran for a cruise on Lago Argentino. The navigation first stops in front of the Upsala Glacier to have wonderful views and then enters the Channel leading to Estancia Cristina, surrounded by towering ice -capped mountains and glowing blue ice-bergs floating in the lake.

At the Estancia, you will visit the main house, the chapel and the museum. Discover the lifestyle of the first settlers of the Estancia, and their relation with legendary explorers of the last century.

Day 10 : El Calafate – Iguazú

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguazú, home to one of the most intricate and beautiful waterfall systems in the world. Upon arrival you will be met and escorted to The Melia Iguazu Hotel.

With an ideal location right in the heart of the Iguazú National Park and just steps from the falls, the Sheraton Iguazú Hotel brings together a very beautiful landscape with an amiable service, a comfortable style and excellent quality.

The hotel has 180 rooms and suites, some with a private balcony and view of the falls. Superior Falls-view room, daily breakfast included – 2 nights.

Day 11 : Iguazú Falls

You will be picked up at your hotel by your private guide to set off and explore the Argentine side of the falls. This side of the mighty falls offers three different tracks into the forest, each with self-explanatory signs describing where cataracts drop into the canyon. You’ll see the Devil’s Throat, with its breathtaking view.

You and your guide will explore the upper and lower trails close to the falls. You will take the train and then a short hike to the lookout point over the Devil’s Throat, with impressive views of waterfalls on three sides. The access to San Martin Island is by way of the catwalks of the lower circuit.

Day 12 : Iguazú – Buenos Aires

Today you will fly to Argentina’s culturally vibrant capital, Bueno Aires, or as some call it, “The Paris of South America”. You will be met at the airport and transferred to the luxurious and modern Alvear Palace.

The Alvear Palace is a deluxe French and European-style hotel located in the heart of the city in the elegant La Recoleta neighborhood. Surrounded by some of the best restaurants, shops and antiques stores, the Alvear offers traditional hospitality combined with the most up-to-date facilities.  Daily breakfast included – 2 nights.

Day 13 : Four Balconies of Buenos Aires / Tango Dinner Show

Visit the city through the exclusive ‘Four Balconies of Buenos Aires’ tour. Passing by many representative parks or squares, the guide makes an introduction into Argentina, its history, its contrasts, its contradictions and the particular psychology of the inhabitants of Buenos Aires.

Visiting the four highest parts of the city gives you possibility to enjoy the best panoramic views from the Buenos Aires. You will explore the “barrios” of La Boca, San Telmo, Plaza de Mayo, and Recoleta.

This evening you will be picked up at the Alvear and transferred to the Esquina Carlos Gardel for dinner and a tango show in the city that gave birth to the very act. The performance takes place in an intimate theatre where the orchestra is easily visible, as it hangs above the stage. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 14 : La Pampa

Today you will visit El Ombú de Areco, a historic estancia located in San Antonio de Areco, outside of Buenos Aires.

A magnificent construction built by Lieutenant General Pablo Riccheri in 1880, the estancia features ample windows and antique furniture all framed in the beauty and tranquility of the Argentinean country. The comfortable and welcoming dining room will be the perfect setting for an excellent Argentinean asado (barbecue), prepared with the world-famous local cuts.

Enjoy the day as you like by horseback riding on one of the 38 horses, walking or partaking in the different activities related to cattle ranching. The estancia also features swimming pool with solarium, ping-pong, billiard, football and volleyball.

Day 15 : Int’l Departure

You will be met and transferred to the airport for your international departure.
