“Pumaland” at Torres del Paine is a 200-square-kilometer tract of rolling, grassy hills that is the only place in the world where Pumas can be seen on a guaranteed basis. These cats are visible thanks to decades of protection from hunting combined with a uniquely-high density of their favorite prey, guanacos and hares.
Since 2011 we have offered the most sophisticated scientific system for finding, tracking and safely showcasing these graceful but powerful predators. In additional to Pumas you will spot thousands of wild guanacos and be treated to stunning views of the spectacular granite spires of Torres del Paine.
Other wildlife you will fine include Andean Condors, Darwin’s Rheas, Chilean Flamingos, foxes, skunks, swans, geese, and many other bird species.

Day 1: Punta Arenas to Torres del Paine
Welcome to Southern Patagonia. You will be met at your hotel in Punta Arenas and transferred to the town of Cerro Castillo, located about halfway between Puerto Natales and the entrance to Torres del Paine National Park.
After lunch at the hotel you will join our first puma search.
Overnight in Cerro Castillo at the Hotel Estancia El Ovejero, your home for the next five nights. The hotel offers 22 rooms, all equipped with private bathrooms. The hotel provides free WiFi and central heating (from 6:00pm until 10:00am). Hotel facilities include a restaurant where meals are served.
All meals are included from lunch today through breakfast in the last day.
Days 2 – 5: Torres del Paine
Breakfast buffet at the lodge.
This morning you will spend 4-5 hours searching for and tracking Pumas in Pumaland. Return to the lodge for lunch
In the afternoon there will be another 4- to 5-hour Puma search and tracking.
Dinner and overnight at Estancia El Ovejero.
Day 6: Transfer to Punta Arenas
Breakfast buffet at the lodge.
Depart the lodge for 4-hour drive south to the enormous Andean Condor Roost Cliff. In the late afternoon, the roost cliff below you normally has 30-80 Andean Condors flying back and forth, above and below the horizon. This is one of the world’s most spectacular photo opportunities for Andean Condors. Afterward, continue about an hour to Punta Arenas.
