El Manantial del Silencio is located 500 meters from the village of Purmamarca, on National Route 52, in the heart of Quebrada de Humahuaca.
Built in 2000, in a strict neocolonial Spanish style, respecting the architecture of the area with indigenous materials (adobe walls and hollow reeds on the roofs).
Located in Purmamarca, 70 km. of the city of San Salvador de Jujuy. The hotel has 18 standard rooms, 1 suite with a living room, bathroom with hydro-massages and a house with two double bedrooms and two bathrooms.
It also has a lounge with TV, Restaurant, Bar, Cava, Meeting room, Business Center, Wi-Fi, Swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Scottish shower, Massage, Reiki sessions, Facials, Solarium and TV room and Games.
The building was designed by the specialist architect Mariano Sepúlveda (in 1985 he received the Knight’s Cross of the Royal Order of Isabel the Catholic for his work in our country with the Spanish colonial style) and decorated with pleasure with objects belonging to historic families of the North of Argentina.
The restaurant of El Manantial del Silencio is directed by Chef Sergio Latorre. Latorre is a specialist in Andean cuisine and is known for finding the perfect balance between input and preparation.
The region is a natural supplier of produce of extraordinary quality. There are the famous Andean papines and corn, llama meat, trout from the Yala mountains, quinoa and amaranth, goat cheeses, charqui and a myriad of remarkable foods wisely combined by the chef.
The menu options are extensive and can be ordered à la carte or you can choose a three-course menu.
