The Pikaia Lodge Galapagos is hidden in a secluded location and nestled on top of an extinct volcano crater on 31 hectares of private property with a private wild giant tortoise reserve.
Given its unique location, the Lodge has a special micro-climate: warm and sunny with fresh breezes for most of the year.
The Pikaia Lodge concept is designed for the environmentally conscious, physically active and adventurous traveler, who seeks close contact with the unique natural wonders of the Galapagos, with the highest level of comfort and services that can be provided within the limitations of such a remote, restricted and eco-sensitive location.
Due to its central location in the archipelago, Santa Cruz Island has provided us with the perfect opportunity to develop our unique land-based day tour concept. Many of the most interesting islands are nearby, with secluded white sand beaches and fascinating wildlife sites of the Galapagos National Park.
The Pikaia wellness center is an oasis of calm, perched on the rims of the craters at the eastern end of the main building with dramatic views of the Pacific Ocean.Sumaq Spa is decorated with Peruvian travertine marble in a minimalistic Japanese zen style to soothe the mind.
The Evolution Restaurant is situated on the edge of a crater. It offers an unrivalled view over our infinity edge pool to the pristine Galapagos National Park and other islands in the archipelago. It is furnished in a contemporary style decorated with casual elegance, with a subtle artistic touch inspired by the evolution of mankind.
Guests of the Pikaia Lodge will enjoy active, quality guided land and marine day programs in small groups with up to 16 guests. Santa Cruz Island is convenient for land-based day tours since some of the most interesting islands, secluded white sandy beaches and wildlife sites are nearby.

Pikaia Exploration programs of 3, 4 and 7 nights include land exploration on Santa Cruz Island and yacht explorations to nearby islands aboard the M/Y Pikaia I, a private 105-foot oceangoing yacht.
While sailing, guests can rest, shower, or freshen up in their private, air-conditioned cabins, soak in the Jacuzzi, watch a Galapagos documentary, join a discussion with guides, sunbathe on the sundeck.
Island destinations include North Seymour and Bachas Beach Island, Bartolomé Island, Sullivan Bay and Chinese Hat – all reached in relatively short navigation times.
