Day 1: Arrival
Meet our local representative as you step out of the Airport who would take you to the Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Plantation.
Located at 4000 feet above sea level and overlooking the Central Valley, surrounded by exotic flora and coffee plantations, sink into your comfortable suite, set within the tranquility of lush tropical vegetation of this internationally renowned small boutique hotel, unrivaled in its commitment to blending comfort with environmentally friendly practices.
Day 2: San Jose – Golfo Dulce
Morning departure for the approximately 45-minute flight to Golfito. Upon arrival, transfer by land and boat to your Lodge, your home for the next 3 nights.
Set in the heart of Costa Rica rain forest on the coasts of Golfo Dulce, Playa Cativo is a luxury Eco Lodge offering exquisite accommodations in true harmony with nature. This Costa Rican hideaway is accessible only by boat and its design complements the surrounding rain forest, its stunning grounds, and its oceanfront setting.
Day 3: Golfo Dulce
Rio Esquinas Mangrove-Ocean Kayaking and Golfo Dulce Snorkeling.
The area surrounding Playa Cativo features one of the largest and most pristine river systems in Costa Rica just a few short beaches away. The diverse terrain allows for some of the best bird watching in the area especially at sunrise and sunset.
After this unique adventure go for some Golfo Dulce Snorkeling, to some of the best spots in the gulf for local dives. At low tide, you’ll marvel at the brain coral reefs.
At high tides, the underwater rock pinnacles – that mirror the mountaintops – create a habitat for many tropical reef fish. The calm and pristine waters at 80ºF (26ºC) are perfect for a colorful snorkeling experience! Local dive (Punta Adela) and Long Range dive (Mogos and Punta Encanto) are great options.
Day 4: Golfo Dulce
Spend the day at your own pace exploring the area.
Day 5: Golfo Dulce – Manuel Antonio
After breakfast. depart on a boat transfer to Puerto Jimenez, where land transportation will be waiting for you to take you to Si Como No Resort & Wildlife Refuge in Manuel Antonio.
This boutique hotel sits atop one of the most idyllic hillsides in Manuel Antonio. The resort’s lush jungle terraces and brilliantly vivid gardens overlook the sparkling ocean just above world-renown Manuel Antonio National Park.
Day 6: Manuel Antonio – Savegre Whitewater Rafting
Enjoy the Savegre White Water Rafting! (Class II-III) This river features calm sections in between rafting areas, which enables to appreciate the beauty of the river bank.
In the middle of the journey, stop for a short walk to a waterfall where you will taste season fruits. Total river time is approximately 2 hours depending on the water level. Having enjoyed both the rafting and the landscapes in the Savegre River, lunch is included at a local restaurant.
Day 7: Manuel Antonio Hiking
Starting in the town of Quepos, join a local guide for a hike on a coastal and tropical forest trail known by very few locals in the area. This is an old remote trail that connects Quepos with Manuel Antonio.
Hike up and down hills in steep terrain and through beautiful beaches, while enjoying stunning ocean views as you walk along. This is the perfect alternative to avoid the crowds of Manuel Antonio National Park.
This activity is suitable for anyone in good physical condition that participates in outdoor activities on regular basis. A picnic lunch will be served along the way.
Day 8: Manuel Antonio
Explore three hidden spots in the middle of the tropical rainforest, located close to Manuel Antonio the Central Pacific.
Experience includes bathing on blue water natural pools, clear waterfalls, and mineral hot and cold pools, creeks, jumping from rocks, exploring the rural countryside and experience what it feels to be in a secluded isolated beach surrounded by a beautiful road with coconut palms.
During your exploration, you will also enjoy fresh tropical fruits of the season and a delicious Costa Rican lunch prepared with local fresh products
Day 9: Departure
Hotel pickup and transfer to the Quepos Airport for the approximately 20-minute scheduled flight to San Jose. Connect with your international flight back home.
