The Refugio Amazonas Lodge lies deep within Peru’s Amazon rainforest — a luxurious oasis in the wilderness.
Located in a 200-hectare private reserve within the buffer zone of the Tambopata National Reserve, Refugio Amazonas is a secluded, 32-bedroom jungle lodge.
The lodge is located about four hours from the Puerto Maldonado airport, in Southeastern Peru. Its wide variety of kid-friendly, adventure-focused, and science activities, Refugio Amazonas is great for nature-lovers and families.

This collection of Citizen Science projects studies everything from mammal populations to the jungle canopy to stunning Tiger Moths.
Whether you’re in the Amazon with us, or in the comfort of your own home, you can participate in discovering new species and exploring rainforest life!
Enjoy the open wall facing the Amazon rainforest and awake with jungle sounds in the morning. Our room rates include all land and river transportation to/from Puerto Maldonado to the lodge thru our fixed departure shuttle service, guided activities in group, all meals, and accommodation.
After a day of jungle discovery, you’ll be ready to enjoy the relaxing services we offer at Refugio Amazonas. Whether you’d like to lounge in an inviting hammock or get a massage with jungle ingredients, we’re your destination for restoring your mind and body.
For guests who want to explore a special interest or simply prefer a more private experience, private guides are available. Private guide service must be organized for the total number of days of the reservation.
